Refund Policy

Effective date: May 31, 2026

This Refund Policy applies to subscriptions to SpendSentry, operated by Auraleth Lab, LLC. It is part of our Terms of Service.

14-day money-back guarantee

You can request a refund within 14 days of your first purchase. For purchases made through Paddle checkout, we'll act on your request right away — no runaround, no retention pitch — submitting it to Paddle in full and cancelling your subscription so you aren't billed again. (If you subscribed before we moved to Paddle, see "For purchases made before we moved to Paddle" below.)

The same guarantee covers optional add-ons (such as the Sentry AI assistant): you can request a full refund of an add-on's first charge within 14 days of that charge, independently of your base subscription.

For purchases made via Paddle checkout, our merchant of record: we submit refund requests to Paddle on your behalf; refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days.

For purchases made before we moved to Paddle: those purchases were processed by Stripe. That Stripe account no longer processes payments, so refunds can no longer be issued through it. If you subscribed before we moved to Paddle, contact support and we'll handle your refund request case by case.

How to request a refund

After the first 14 days

Once the 14-day window has passed, we review refund requests individually. We generally do not refund simply because you forgot to cancel, but we will make it right if the problem was on our side — for example:

If we approve a refund after the first term, it may be full or prorated depending on the circumstances and what the law in your state requires.

Cancelling is not the same as a refund

Cancelling stops future charges. A refund returns money you've already paid. These are separate:

We do not make cancellation harder than signing up. No phone call, no retention gauntlet — one confirmation step and you're done.

Your state-law rights

Some states give you additional rights to cancel and to clear refund disclosures, including California (auto-renewal law), New York, and others. Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under applicable law, and where state law gives you more than this policy, the law controls.

Billing disputes and chargebacks

If you don't recognize a charge or believe something is wrong, contact us first through our support form. It is the fastest path to your money:

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer instead, we respond through the card network's process with our records of the purchase — what was shown at checkout, the terms you accepted, and the account's use of the Service. Nothing in this policy limits your right to dispute a charge with your bank; we simply ask that you give us the chance to fix it first.
